Where I Be

So, it may not have been noticed, but I've been...lax in posting recently. Mostly that's because I've been lax about pretty much everything. You see, I'm on extended vacation, my clerking job having ended around Labor Day and my new, corporate-whore, employment not beginning til October. So aside from my trip to the homeland of Monday Night Football Free Beer (Sally's in Dinkytown Minneapolis. Try it...) I've been doing a whole lot of nothing. And in the words of Peter Gibbons, it's everything I thought it could be.

Though we'll be back with our regularly scheduled book-blogging, plus some commentary on the nascent fourth season of The Wire, this fall's crop of new shows (Studio 60 and Heroes are the two I find most intrigueing), and well whatever else I feel like.

I noticed. Of course.

Though, that and two cents ... .

Sally's didn't exist when I was around, but unless Dinkytown has moved, Sally's sure looks like the East Bank to me.

"Smith" with Ray Liotta looks interesting.

Stadium Village to be exact. It seems to me that there is a whole generation of Gophers who know where Sally's is, but do not know why that area is called Stadium Village! Shouldn't we change it to Natatorium Village?

Oh yeah, and can you send me your snail mail address or stop by my house when you're in Minneapolis? I printed a set of red foil Sub Zero frisbees to be distributed only to current or former SZ players. There's one here for you.

Still enjoying your time off, I hope? Coming back soon?

They got him, Reader, he's dead, no doubt with his body all bound up in a giant mound of cotton candy.

You could be right. He hasn't posted over at Katistocrats for almost two weeks, but then it has been slower over there, anyway.

It's all cool, though: "To everything thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose."

Vaca away, and good luck with your new job, which surely must be starting soon.

And I still can't post comments without typos. Kakistocrats
